By a show of hands how many of you have played Guit@r H3ro?
OK.
Now how many of you have played R0ck B@nd?
Alright.
Now how many of you have played both?
Which do you like better and why?
Do you ever find yourself humming these songs to yourself while you "strum/drum/sing" in your mind?
Do you hear songs on the radio and the only reason they are familiar to you is because you've played them on the games?
IS IT JUST ME? I FEEL LIKE I'M ON CRAZY PILLS HERE PEOPLE!!!!

I've been deprived.
****DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own any of these games I just have friends with different priorities.
Although I played GH first my personal preference is rock band though for the variation in instruments and due to the way we were raised four people can play instead of just the two.
Haven't played either...
Ok....I could hardly wait to get off work so I could comment here:
I don't get the guitar.
I suck at it.
So, Guit@r H3r0 isn't my fave.
But
R0ck8and is my FAVE!!!
I can play the drums pretty dang well. I feel like a rockstar.
I can sing Creep by radiohead on expert at 99%. And
Wanted, Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi on expert at 100%.
That's right, baby!
And yeah.....I only knew the Bon Jovi one out of all the songs. But now I hear them and totally groove on 'em!
ps. You should totally try singing Creep.......it is the BEST!!
I love them both! Although I was saddened to find out that Creep has some really not so nice verbage when it's not on the radio!
Way to rock it on expert! I'm not so brave yet...I've yet to upgrade to hard on the guitar.
Dead or Alive is one of my favorites to play as well as Foreplay/Long Time, and Run to the Hills.
One night when we were playing Run to the Hills, my friend who almost always does drums said "I think I could have done better..." then bam she gets 99%. We played it about three more times I peaked out on the second one, because I'd never heard it before, but my arms and hands were very tired after that jam session.
Oh so many stories and laughs from that game!
which game system do you play on?
We own GH 2& 3.
I have played Rock Band a lot as well.
I prefer Rock Band because I LOVE to be the frontman.
GH is awesome because you can play it quietly at night. In a small condo with two sleeping kids, it's hard to rock out with Rock Band.
And yes, I know songs because they were in a game.
Point well taken. I could imagine beating on the drums and singing don't go on too quietly.
Especially if you rock as hard as b. does.
Most of my GH playing was on GH 3, so I know the set list pretty well.
We have PS3.
I love playing drums on Run to the Hills....it's a challenge.
We broke a set of drums and a guitar learning....took me a while to save up enough to replace them. So I'm out of practice.
We've been trying to conquer Green Grass and High Tides.
ooh that one is tricky!
