TV That I Can Get Into

Thank you DVR!

The other night during this program, I'm not sure what the "official" name of this speech being delivered is called however my parents had the DVR set to record the show Lie To Me. I couldn't help myself.

"A society that chooses between capitalism and socialism does not choose between two social systems; it chooses between social cooperation and the disintegration of society. Socialism: is not an alternative to capitalism; it is an alternative to any system under which men can live as human beings." - Ludwig von Mises, Human Action (1949)

I've Been Busy

I'm sure you've noticed the subject of posts has changed as well as the frequency of posting. No real biggie, but let me show you what I've been up to throughout the week and most of my Saturdays.

During the week I tend to a small herd of 3 children and one horse, of the Shetland pony variety dog. Needless to say I am gaining some mad skills in multi-tasking.

On Saturdays I have taken to improving my surroundings, sadly I didn't have the foresight to take the before pictures so all you get are the afters, but I think it will give you a pretty good idea of what I've been up to.

Supa-Dupa!

With this little beauty at my side, I look forward to sharing some pretty sweet high caliber pictures with you all.

In other news...I've had this little ditty stuck in my head for most of the day. Mostly it's just the part that this post is titled after. The duck kills me.

Adventures in Googling

MUCH better than adventures in babysitting ;)

While I searched the internets for fruit on a pedestal the result was this little gem...

Do The Hustle!

I want to write, but some how I have no fodder right now. However, in more recent news, I feel like I'm doing a lot, but not necessarily getting much done.

This Hustle if you will actually reminds me of a dear friend of mine, who introduced me to a comedian, who had a bit of a potty mouth, but one brief part of his act makes me giggle. A hint, he's talking about a grocery store.

Should I sit in it or should I eat it? (Not the same guy but still funny).

I'm also on the slow train, which is not to be confused with the Midnight Train to Georgia,

the Hot Tamale Train,
or even the Crazy Train (although that one might be considerably closer than the other two).

Waiting is not a really joyous thing.

I think I will be making quite a few calls this week to certain "individuals" (Not quite sure why, but that particular word came out with a "mafia" accent in my head) to check on the progress of applications etc, also because I'm getting anxious and would really like to just get started already!

I guess this is also a test of my capacity for loooooong suffering and fortitude, hopefully this will not result in the spike of my attitude, although with the inevitable interactions with people, it should at least result in some great blog material.

Final question, with all of this latent reference to dancing, I think I need to take it up again.
