Enough is Enough Already!

Holy Crap! I think I’ve reached the true low of my “What is she wearing?” days. I had to call in to work this morning to let them know I would be late. Why? you ask. Bad traffic? Sick? No, no this is much more lame. I couldn’t put together an outfit to save my life. No lie it took me roughly two hours to put together something to wear to work. Most everything just didn’t work and when I finally thought I had found something that would work alas my bubble was burst when I doubled checked in the mirror. Half the contents of my closet later…I finally made it to work. This mishap even elicited the much sought after (by my sisters) squeal of frustration. It was not the best morning I’ve ever had…

Now I know why I woke up at 4:20 am if I had gone with it I would have been on time to work.

PS Laundry day can’t come soon enough.

PPS At least I don't look like doody ;D

What On Earth Is She Wearing?

OH YEAH!?!? You're lucky I AM dressed!!!

That's pretty much the story of my week last week. It started a week ago Sunday. I had gone shoe shopping on Friday and was excited to wear my new zapats. It was sadly too cold for the shoes I had purchased and had the most difficult time trying to figure out what to wear and match it to the weather. It turned out relatively ok except it was quite a lot of brown. Someone told me I looked cute so I figured I was at least safe.

And so the week went. Every morning I couldn't just do the usual "safety" outfits. Meaning the typical rotation of outfits for work and I just kept saying to myself if anyone says anything that's pretty much all I'm saying in response, "You're lucky I am dressed!" I thought about taking pictures of said outfits, but lacked the time and inclination to do so. I thought that this week might be off in the same direction due to my inability to put something together yesterday for church, so I just fell back on a good classic. It worked I felt slightly normal again, however when it came time to change clothes the same issue cropped up again...

This morning turned out ok, but as for the rest of the week I hope it only gets better.

That is all.

Drama Queen

I concur

The best campaign slogan I've ever heard for her yet is...

"In times of war everyone needs a cold hard...you get the point."

Wo unto the Liar...

Am I the only person who feels that the top two contenders of the Democratic hopefuls are both big fat liars?

I don't want to see performances and acting abilities I want to know what these people are like every day in their own world & with their own ethics, not when they are taking on the stance that everything is truth which by the way is a complete fallacy. If the media determines "who wins" a debate then I need to start finding a news medium that supports my views as opposed to the Communist News Network.

The point is it's hard enough to pick someone to be the leader of our country when there are so many candidates on the table now. Add to that their own personal agendas, personal pork barrels, and endless lie after lie layers upon layers of all the promises they've made to countless constituencies. Which by the way, I think more people need to reread which branches of the government have the authority to do what.

If we were all versed well enough in this we would see that half of what the candidates promise in order to make emotional connections to people is a complete sham and realize as president they would no longer have that capacity. If that's what they want the ability and authority to do, they should stay in congress! Also I want a president who doesn't have to pander to every single person in town just to buy their vote. Let's face it if you had friends like this you wouldn't want them as a friend would you? How can you trust somebody who changes their opinion at the drop of a hat?

GIVE ME SOMEONE WITH INTEGRITY!

Someone who actually lives by their standards and will do so openly. Someone who exhibits this integrity by not back peddling or by taking all sides of an issue. The public needs to pay more attention, rather than turning a deaf ear or blind eye. If they did they would realize that those who take all sides of an issue lose themselves or are simply camoflauging the truth of what they really want and stand for. Underneath it all, at the end of the day, there is a person and that person has their own individual set of core values that never really leaves them.

Ask yourself what is the key motivation behind what this individual does? Why do they do what they do? Look at their track record and you will see that even though people are capable of change, their true nature is to revert back to that which they were first disposed. How does that saying go? If you don't learn from history you are doomed to repeat it?

Ummm Goalie Goalie

And so we embark on the new year. Headed off into uncharted and wonderfully fresh territories...or not. Being the randomly ambitious individual that I am, I have happened across a few good solid goals that I think I might be able to work on for the next 366 days. The odds are already in my favor as I have an entire extra day for improvement! This must be the year for improving. No intended correlation with the current elections ahead ;) Although change can always be a good thing. More recently I have found myself longing for positive changes. I used to hate changes and adapting to them. Resisting as long as possible yet by the time I finally was able to embraced it I realized I had wasted quite a lot of precious time when I could have been having a blast. I'm not saying that I didn't have some really good times. Just musing at the myriad of possible missed opportunities. I will embrace change this year...or at least try for minimal resistance ;)
