So I've gotten the crazy notion that I would like to have a new purse. Unfortunately, the only thing I've seen remotely close to being cute enough for me and aptly styled for my personal needs was in excess of the budgetary strain.
Don't get me wrong I love the one I am currently using. Funny I never really thought I would end up using it, but necessity--mother of invention--what?
The quest is still under way. Sadly the revenge of the 80's and all that simply means that there are a lot of hobo looking bags which I have to have pockets for all the crazy knick-knacks and doo-dads I keep in my purse.
I prefer to not have the exact same purse as fifty other people either. I have to develop a special attachment. Why oh why didn't M@ry Popp!ns design her own line of magic bags. Oh wait they'd all look like Arts & Crafts style tapestry bags. Pass.

I've been thinking about a new purse. Take your time. And don't spend too much on it. That way you don't feel guilty when you want to switch out. And I'm sure she likes seeing you use the purse she gave you.
Actually the one I'm using is the one Miss Judy gave me for my birthday back when you were prennick con glitter. I broke it out back in October? I think it was, and have been using it and liking it pretty well until the second strap doesn't stay up some much any more.
want to come shopping in my closet? i've got 8 hooks full. :)
CQ I might just take you up on that offer. I found something that I think, might work out, but honestly I'm not that excited about it.
I had no joy in finding one, everything, even the stuff that should be fun almost feels like another chore to be crossed off the list at this point. Where did my enjoyment go?
I carry a diaper bag for a purse despite not having any chidlren in diapers. Why? Because it's a sturdy tote and I fell in love with the prancing poodle print.
Wanns buy one so we can be the purse version of the Bobsey Twins?

If you don't want to spend a lot of money, I have had great luck at JCPenny. I have an avocado green purse that I got there that I just love.
This is actually a great time to shop for a handbag because so many stores are having winter clearance.
EWBL- SWEET! Nothing says come hither better than a diaper bag w/ sexy pink poodles!
Carrot- Nothing says old nanny quite like Julie Andrews. "High on the hill was the lonely goatherd, lay odi lay odi lay hee hoo."
Annie- Nothing says "jackpot" better than end of season clearance!
Then again nothing says crackpot better than a tapestry/carpet bag either.
