It's Official

My dilemma of what to be when I grow up has been solved! All due to FB's uncanny ability to advertise to ME!

That's right folks I'm aiming for world domination!

I would like to thank FB for it's amazing ad skillz.

Cha Cha Boochie Cha Cha Cha Boochie ROLL CALL!

Who knows where that came from? OK so, every now and then I actually check out the little stat counter thing at the very bottom of my page.

Yeah, that thing, and you just thought it was for looks. HA! but I digress. Whenever I would check out the keyword thing, it always baffled me that people would come to my page from the google search of usps trivia. Well when I put it in guess who came up as numero quatro? Yeah that's right, me. Kinda funny, kinda scary.

Also for some inexplicable reason my November 2008 archive is the most frequented. Maybe it's because I did the 30 day post challenge or whatever it's called, I've got the badge thingy somewhere on here I think....

The numero uno is actually the title of my blog something about lemons and lemonade, but who does that? ;)

The other one was the mexican horse race game. *insert giggles here*

Some of the other randoms include, boss hogg's car, battlecat, and stickless caramel apples. Speaking of fountains of useles knowledge...

And finally if you type in when life throws you a lemon into the google search bar, my blog came up second. I dunno though I think that depending on the compy you use google becomes prejudice or predisposed to suss out the types of things you would normally select...Am I wrong?

Projects Running Away

So over the Christmas break, I've been working on the sewing skills. Inspired by this and a couple of other over on the edge fashion niches I have decided to make some of my own articles of clothing. Combine this with two great classes which are demanding of time, a continually cluttered room, and more work sewing. I'm kinda crazy busy right now.

Oh yeah I'm also trying to catch up on the rest of my library books. Current count 5 to go.

PS For the 2nd half of my Anat & Phys I have the same lab instructor. Some of his stories never get old. I'm excited to share some new material with you all. I already have one, but lacking the handy dandy notebook, means I don't get it verbatim, which translates to not quite as funny.

Hello Again Dear Weather Channel!

Today they featured something akin to dueling banjos. It was great.

The Following Story Is True...

Yesterday about roughly...uh soemtime after three, I was informed by BL that my room was messy. I laughed, mostly because this is true and secondly because he hadn't said anything sooner. I told him to wait just a minute because I had to go to the bathroom. Well of course he kept talking to me anyway. Well that made me giggle because most kids don't hang out outside the door while I'm bathrooming it up. Well I was also promptly told to stop laughing by BL. More laughter from me, and a why not? BL said, "Because it's not silly!" More giggling from me. I then asked him to go tell his mother.
It sounded like he got up and went to tell MW*, and when he came back he said, "She didn't laugh." Right then and there I knew he hadn't actually spoken to her. Upon finishing up in the WC, I approached MW, and recounted as super secrety as possible, the tale and she laughed quite heartily yet silently for BL was right behind me.

I love this kid he cracks me up! He also came up with his own nickname for me on my trip to the sandbox.

Pardon Me While I Quit Making Excuses For Myself

Yeah I've been doing lots of complaining lately and some heinous pity partying. I'm at that nervous stage before I start school again. The one where you're so nervous/excited by the anticipation of an upcoming event that it might actually compromise bladder control.

So I'm going to be off for a few days trying to get my act together so that when school starts I'll still be enrolled. ;)

I'm Losing It

Not in the traditional Sally Field type mental breakdown, but more along the lines of losing steam. Yeah I know, but I'm young and oft times impatient. I'm still sticking to "The Master Plan" as DM would call it, but then again by MW's definition I guess that would mean that this particular slump would be covered. hehe

Enough with the cryptic descriptions. I'll just say that right now, I'm having a hard time waiting for things (ie school) to start, but I guess that means this would be the "planning phase."

Much Needed Randomness

1. Jimmy Eat World's Chase This Light is probably my favorite album right now. If I'm not listening to it I can hear it in my mind's ear.

2. I am missing GM and Glitter. Sadly I won't be seeing them for quite a while, but I'm trying to stay busy.

3. I recently watched the film Henry Poole is Here. Definitely made me think. I thought it would be a little bit lighter than it turned out to be, but I still enjoyed it for what it was. There were also a lot of themes to be found in it.

4. As of August 1st I will no longer be horse/kid sitting. I am hoping to be able to find another jarb whilst taking the lesser number of classes this first year to keep things on the up.

5. I feel like I've got a lot on my plate right now and school hasn't even started. Summer projects can be killer.

6. I took cuttings from the flowering tree in our front yard. Today I am trying to get them planted. We'll see how that turns out.

That is all.

Some Items of Note

*I made it.

In one piece.

...mostly.

*While shopping at the Bullzeye yesterday evening with GM I saw something that was made specifically for NCS. A double feature in the DVD section which included the following titles:

Donnie Darko and Napoleon Dynamite.

I'm debating whether or not to go stand in line at Wally World this evening in order to buy a movie...ridiculous, I know, but my friend who works for another store of the same chain said that they were doing a bunch of give away type stuff for the midnight release... any takers?

Are you with me? Yay or nay?
*cricket cricket*
Which one means yes?

Can you name that movie?

P to the S- I miss my most recent roommate and her fiance, they were like brother and sister to me. I also have been thinking about other things which would normally be funny to my friends and myself, but nobody here gets them and I have to explain and therefore it's not really that funny anymore and in actuality seems a little lame once explained.

I also miss my friends that give good hugs. Random, but essential. You always need good hugging buddies that don't try to pass off some awkward side arm thing as a "hug." I quote what GM always says to Glitter, "Give hugs. Two arms."

That is all.

I Had (Another) Dream Last Night

Psychotic or Visionary...you decide...

So last night started out like any other night.

Head

+

Pillow

=

Unconscious

Not too shabby I'd say.

Somewhere in my first REM cycle I had a dream. (Insert opening line of Everything's Coming Up Roses here) I wasn't quite sure what was going on, except from what I could figure it was Halloween or about that time, and I was at some sort of gathering which actually turned out to be a blog par-tay. Although in anticipation of a few other bloggers arriving, those of us who were there each put on a pair of these

to take a group photo with as a souvenire for them. After that there were a couple other bloggers who showed up dressed like this

and one in particular who was dressed like this

except the blogger's collar was gold instead of starch white.

*******
In other news:
I currently sound like Bea Arthur thanks to this lovely little cold I've had now for going on a week...Who knew I could sing Bass?

That's All Folks!

So...What Do You Do?

To be honest I really couldn't tell you. After I get off work, I stay busy, but when someone asked me what all that involved I really can't recall. Is that horrible? Mostly I just do whatever I need to get done, ie grocery shopping, cooking food for myself and others, doing my churchly (reads like "priestly" in Nacho Libre) duties, and helping out my friends or whoever calls me to go do stuff.

As a result my room is still a total mess, and I can't find my winter jacket. If I were anywhere else, but the sandbox this would be extremely problematic.

Speaking of which, I'd better find it before Christmas Eve which means only four days left for me to figure out where I last saw it and where it wandered off to since then...I suspect I might have left it a la casa de Wormer's.

Are You Listening?

I wouldn’t consider myself an eavesdropper, however I find that being something of a people watcher I also listen to others more than I talk. Combo that with being quite shy, and what you get is me not really saying a whole lot around people who I’m not close friends with. However the rub really comes when I do feel comfortable with people. Because I am still listening just as much as before, I somehow feel it’s ok to express my opinions and enter into conversations in which I am not always welcome…or at least my opinions aren’t. Thus leaving me feeling like I’ve got tourettes or something like it.

Speaking of tourettes the other night at FHE I was walking through to another room and people were lining either side of the hallway and talking to each other across the walking area, so in order to make it slightly less awkward I said “What’s up?” loud enough for those around to hear, yet kept walking. I kept walking because I wasn’t really trying to start a conversation or anything, like I already said I was trying to make it less awkward. It was at that moment that I realized that what had happened was in fact similar in nature to when people who have tourettes spout obscenities or something completely off the wall and people just dumbfoundedly stare.

So I asked my friend a little while later, “Do you ever feel like you have tourettes when you say hello to people?” She giggled and then said she in fact did feel that way as well from time to time.

Come & Gone

My 200th post came and went. I don't think I made any big woohoo to do about it. Probably b/c I was too busy dealing with other...stuffs. Anyway let's get down to business here people. Ask me questions! Not that I probably couldn't go on ad nauseum enough to come up with 200 things about me, but when put under pressure to perform, it all runs and hides in the deep dark recesses of my mind...oooh recess. I miss those days. "You shouldn't go swimming around in your mind that is a dangerous neighborhood that you should not go into"...alone.

But I mean it, anything about me you want to know. However I reserve the right to veto questions.

I just have one question for you though which post has been your favorite?

Craziness & Silliness

So I read a headline the other day "Woman Who Was Shot in Leg Blames Her Stove" and I couldn’t help but go to read the story. (Curiosity kills this kity waay too often ;) ) It’s a little gruesome, but I’ll share with you.

You’ve been warned.

Woman says she was shot in the leg by her stove
A shell may have been in the newspapers she used to light the stove

SEKIU, Wash. - A woman said she was shot in the leg by her stove. Cory Davis told the Peninsula Daily News she had just stoked her cast-iron heating stove Sunday when she heard a loud bang and was struck in her left calf.

Davis said a case of shotgun shells spilled about a month ago at her home and one must have landed in the newspapers she used to light the stove.

She removed a metal fragment herself and was treated Monday at (...get this...)
Forks Community Hospital.

(I wonder if she was treated by the favorite doctor in town? Teehee ;) )

“Yes. I am a silly girl!” (Name that movie.)

I Have A Theory

Whatever you give a woman, she's going to multiply.
If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby.
If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.
If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.
If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.
She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.
So-If you give her any crap, you will receive a ton of $h!t.

Your thoughts?

Eggs Anyone?

I bought myself one of these the other day. I’d been thinking about doing so for quite some time. Then again, I was also deterred by the fact that I thought it looked like a cheese grater.

Post purchase, and completely engrossed in my curiosity,

when I got back home I used it right away. It wasn’t quite the experience I was expecting.

It wasn’t that bad at all, actually. I think I might have found a new hobby to occupy my Wednesday nights.

At least until my feet are supple.

No this was not paid for…oh how I wish though.

I’m just fascinated by it and how it works.

*Sidenote: While looking for the perfect picture of a cheese grater I happened upon this little beauty.

Civies

Ah Junior Civitans.

HA anywhere else, but where I grew up it would be a community service club, etc. I was thinking about my time in the sorry excuse for a prison, which most people refer to as high school and I remembered a time when I “tried out” for Civinettes...

And thus ensued my first experience with Sorority type groupings. Who else would unite in the name of community service to bait others with snobbery? As in most cases, I was friends with all the different people I wanted to be friends with, but they all fell across various groups of people. I had some friends in Civinettes, but didn’t go up for it Freshman year.

I waited until my Sophmore year. Don’t ask me why, there really was no reason. All I remember and will say about that is that my mother encouraged me to go up for it Freshman year because one of the club officers was a member and she would help “get us in.” That should have been my first clue right there.

During rush week their “try out” time you had to attend a couple different activities, a car wash, a dance/meet and greet, and then (insert scary music here) dun duh duhhhh the interview.

Needless to say in typical me fashion of the time, I missed the dance/social thing, showed up late to the car wash thing, and I don’t really remember the interview except that I knew most of the girls who were “interviewing.” Oh yeah and at the interview you had to recite their motto thingy. All I remember is, “I am a Junior Civitan…” *cricket, cricket*
